SCHOOL COUNCIL

"You must be the change you wish to see in the world." Mahatma Gandhi

Mahatma Gandhi was an Indian lawyer, anti-colonial nationalist, and political ethicist.

Our school council is a group of children that represents the views of all our pupils. It gives our children the opportunity to have their voices heard and be part of the whole school community. The school council helps to makes decisions about school life and organise projects that support learning and development, such as organising charity events, theme days or representing the school at outside events.

Our First School Council Meeting

Posted: Oct 14, 2024 by: G Fishwick (G.Fishwick) on: School Council Blog

This week our newly elected School Council members met for the first time. We talked about what a School Council is and what it does, we agreed on our meeting 'Ground Rules' and we found out about the role of the Chairperson.

The children were also given their first important task...canvassing their peers for suggested ways to improve our playground and playtimes! Stay tuned to find out what the children found out.
