Autumn Term message from Mrs Cropper:
Hello,
We’re so excited to welcome all our lovely children back after the summer holiday. We hope you’ve had a fantastic break and are ready to dive into an exciting autumn term ahead!
This term, we’ll be exploring some fascinating topics, starting with the Shang Dynasty, the ancient Chinese civilisation. Please take a look at our topic web below to gain further details on Year 5’s Autumn term curriculum.
In addition to our history adventures, the children will also begin learning the new “Let’s Go Sing” songs, which they’ll perform on stage later this year. How exciting!
Times tables are still a big focus for us this term. Make sure to log in to TT Rock Stars to practice and have some fun with your maths skills. We will be hosting a few challenges so make sure you log on!
Below is a link to the Year 5 and Year 6 spellings. These are words that all children are expected to be able to spell by the end of Year 6. It is important that we practise spelling these words, as they are commonly spelt incorrectly meaning that we may find them a little bit trickier to remember. How many can you already spell?
Here’s to a fantastic term ahead! If you need to ask anything, please come and ask.
Best wishes,
Mrs Cropper

Exciting Day at the Liverpool World Museum!

Wow! What an awesome day Year 5 had at the Liverpool World Museum. They got to explore different artefacts, but the highlight was when they got their hands on some Ancient Greek pieces!
