Spring Term message from Mrs Cropper:

Welcome Back to Spring 2 Term in Year 5!

We have lots of exciting things to look forward to over the coming weeks. One highlight will be our Geography school trip to Lytham Hall . During the visit, the children will explore the beautiful grounds and collect information about what is grown there, helping to bring their geography learning to life.

Another special event this term will be our Easter Service, where Year 5 will have the opportunity to perform as a class. This is always a meaningful and memorable experience for the children and we’re really looking forward to preparing for it together.

Later in the term, we will also be taking part in Bikeability sessions, which is something many of the children are already excited about. These sessions help build confidence, independence and important road safety skills. Bikeability is 25th and 26th March.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support. We are really looking forward to a busy, enjoyable and successful spring term with our fantastic Year 5 class!

If you need anything further, I am always at the door or you can email the office.

Best wishes,

Mrs Cropper

Kevork Mourad Monotypes Art work

Posted: Feb 28, 2026 by: S Cropper (S.Cropper) on: Year 5 Blog

Over the last few weeks Year 5 have created their own visual poetry zines based around the theme 'The Lost Thing'. After exploring colour, collaging and painting, children finished their zines by using the monotype process of transferring ink . Everyone created such incredible, unique pieces.
